How to Put Together a Black & Decker Quick 'N Easy Food Processor
The Black & Decker Quick 'N Easy food processor shreds, chops and slices a variety of food including vegetables, fruits, nuts and cheeses. This machine consists of 10 different components that must be put together before use, according to the food processor manual.
You may assemble the food processor in different ways for certain tasks, using the slicing and shredding disc at some times and the chopping blade at other times, for example.
-
Wash all the processor parts except the base by hand or in a dishwasher, as recommended in the manual. If you wash them in the dishwasher, do not place them in or next to the utensil container.
-
Set the base in front of you and place the bowl on to the center post of the base. Turn the bowl until it drops into position and then snap it toward the base to engage the locking tabs.
-
Slice or shred your food into a separate bowl by putting only the disc stem on the center post inside the bowl and placing the discharge disc on the stem. Push the slice/shred disc on to the stem over the discharge disc. Remove the food chute shield to allow food to land in the separate bowl.
-
Shred or slice food directly in to the food processor by attaching the processor's bowl to the base and following the same steps as above, without putting the discharge disc on the stem. Put the shield down on the food chute as well. Ensure even slices by clipping the "food fingers" into place on the food chute.
-
Chop foods by placing the bowl on the base and then slipping the chopping blade over the center post. Place the cover on the bowl and lock in to place. Add food and process as desired.
-
Repeat cleaning steps after processing food. Wipe down the base but do not put it in the dishwasher or submerge it. Always unplug the processor before beginning any cleaning on it. Use baking soda and warm water in a 1-to-2 ratio to remove food stains from inside the processor bowl.
