Press and release the "Learn" button of the right side of the garage door opener's motor unit; the adjacent indicator light will come on and stay lit for 30 seconds.

Press and hold the large button on the door-opener remote.

Release the button on the garage-door opener when the lights on the motor unit blink. Note that blinking motor-unit lights indicate that the door-opener has been programmed successfully.
