You have to adjust the bottom of the fridge to ensure the entire unit is level.
Things You Will Need

Lay your Kenmore refrigerator on its back. If this is your first time installing the fridge, you will have to lay it on its back to remove the packing material, so just keep it that way to adjust the door. If you have already installed the fridge, empty and unplug it before placing it on its back. The fridge is heavy, so have someone assist you.

Use your carpenter's level to measure the bottom of the fridge from front to back. The fridge's feet should be level from front to back. If they are not, you must level them to properly align your refrigerator's door.

Adjust the leveling feet to level out the refrigerator. Locate the leveling feet on the bottom of your Kenmore refrigerator, toward the front. Turn each foot left to raise the fridge and right to lower the fridge.

Measure your Kenmore refrigerator again from front to back and from side to side to ensure the fridge is level.

With the help of another person, raise the refrigerator upright.

Test the door to ensure it is closing properly. The door should close easily when it is left halfway open.

- If the door on your Kenmore refrigerator is not properly aligned, it may not close properly, causing serious problems with cooling efficiency and effectiveness.
- If they are not, you must level them to properly align your refrigerator's door.
