Both the washer and dryer are fully functional with a precision wash system, water level adjustment, 10 wash cycles, moisture sensor, automatic dry cycles and five dryer temperature settings. In the interest of time management, it is possible to run both the washer and dryer at the same time. If problems occur during use, the problems are probably due to other issues and not using the washer and dryer simultaneously.
Washing Machine
To operate the washing machine, sort laundry according to color, fabric type and soil level. Check the pockets of clothing for any loose items, and close any fasteners such as snaps, buckles or zippers. Pour the desired amount of laundry detergent into the detergent drawer, as well as any liquid bleach, if desired. Place the wash load into the washing machine, and select the desired wash cycle. Close the lid securely and pull out the cycle selector knob to start the washing machine.
Dryer
Lift out the lint screen from the bottom of the dryer door and clean off any lint. Slide the lint screen back into the dryer. Load wet items from the washing machine into the dryer, being careful not to overload the dryer. Add a fabric softener sheet, if desired. Close the dryer door firmly, and select the desired cycle. Turn the “Start” control knob in a clockwise direction until it points to “On.” Hold the knob for 2 seconds and then release.
Washing Machine Problems
If there are problems with the washing machine, it is usually not because the dryer is operating at the same time. If the washer is not starting or working correctly, make sure the unit power cord is plugged firmly into a working outlet. Replace or reset the fuse or circuit breakers, as needed, and don’t plug the unit into an extension cord. Verify that the water faucets are turned on and connected to the washing machine and that the lid is closed before use.
Dryer Problems
Problems with the dryer during use are not likely to be due to using the washing machine at the same time. Check the power cord, and replace or reset any circuit breakers or fuses as needed. Verify that the gas valve is turned on if it is a gas model and there is no heat to the dryer. If the dryer is taking a long time to dry, clean out the lint screen and the outside exhaust hood to remove excess lint that might be clogging the air flow.
