How to Delete Programming on a Hunter Thermostat
Hunter programmable thermostats allow you to set different temperatures for various times of the day and days of the week. This saves you money by preventing the air conditioner or furnace from running during times no one is home. If you need to reset the settings, you don't need to clear them individually for each time and day. You can reset them all at the same time using the reset button.
Step 1
Open the faceplate on the Hunter thermostat.
Step 2
Twist a paper clip so one of the ends is sticking out.
Step 3
Press the end of the paper clip into the "Reset" pinhole and hold it for two seconds to clear the programming. The location of the hole varies depending on the model, but it is usually located near the bottom or side of the front panel and is clearly marked.
