Step 1
Press the "Power" button in the top-right corner of the control panel to cancel the current cycle and turn off the washing machine. The machine will automatically drain any water from the washing tub.
Step 2
Press the "Power" button a second time to power on the appliance.
Step 3
Locate the large "Cycle Selector" on the left side of the control panel. Press the button repeatedly until the desired cycle is shown on the adjacent digital display. Choose between "Normal," "Heavy Duty," "Whites," "Perm Press," "Sanitize," "Towels," "Bedding," "Delicates," "Hand Wash," "Wool," "Quick Wash," "Rinse+Spin" and "Spin Only" cycles.
Step 4
Touch the appropriate cycle option button to customize the washing cycle. Choose the "Extra Wash," "Extra Rinse" or "Extended Spin" options. Press the "My Cycle" button to choose a previously programmed custom wash. Add a "Pre Wash" to your cycle when washing clothes that are heavily soiled. Use the "Delay Start" option to delay the start of the cycle for one to 24 hours.
Step 5
Select the appropriate temperature for the wash and rinse cycles. Press the "Temp." temperature selection button until the desired water temperature is displayed. Choose "Extra Hot/Cold," "Hot/Cold," "Warm/Warm," "Warm/Cold" or "Cold/Cold."
Step 6
Press the "Spin" button to customize the cycle's spin setting. Touch the button repeatedly until the desired option is highlighted on the display. Choose from "Extra High," "High," "Medium," "Low" or "No Spin" options.
Step 7
Use the "Soil Level" button to tell the Samsung VRT steam washer how dirty your clothes are. "Normal" is the default setting; press the button repeatedly to select the "Heavy" or "Light" soil settings.
Step 8
Press the "Start/Pause" button to start the programmed cycle.
