How to Shorten Wash Time on a Whirlpool Duet Washer

  1. Turn the cycle control knob to "Normal/Casual." Any of the other cycles lengthen the washer time.

  2. Press the "Less" button over the "Soil Setting" option. The display time will decrease each time you press the "Less" button.

  3. Start the washer by pressing and holding the "Hold to Start" button. The wash cycle will start and run for the time shown in the display.

Tips

You can choose one of the other cycle options and lessen the time to finish the cycle by pressing the "Less" button. It will still take longer than the "Normal/Casual" setting.
