How to Clean Plastic With Alcohol
Plastic is commonly used to make many of the products we use daily, such as eyeglasses, computers and water bottles. Plastic attracts dirt and can easily become soiled from daily use. Many cleaners on the market are designed for glass or are too abrasive for plastic, but alcohol is a safe and effective cleaning solution.
Step 1
Wipe away any loose dirt from your plastic using a soft, clean cloth.
Step 2
Mix equal parts of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water.
Step 3
Apply the solution directly to your soft cloth.
Step 4
Wipe the plastic with the alcohol soaked soft cloth until the stain or residue is removed.
Step 5
Dry the plastic with the portion of the soft cloth that is dry.
