How to Reset an Error Code in a Bosch Aquastar
The Bosch Aquastar is a tankless water heater. It provides hot water on demand to appliances and faucets throughout a home or business without continuously heating water in a large holding tank. The Aquastar is Energy Star rated and can offer energy savings of up to 50 percent in some homes. The Aquastar is available through select dealers and home repair stores. If an error occurs during operation, an error code will appear on the tankless heater’s electric display. Resetting this error code is relatively simple and can be done in only a few steps, unless professional service is required.
Turn off the Bosch Aquastar and unplug from the power supply.
Inspect the unit and wipe clean any excess dirt or debris from the fans, sensors and connections with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Dry with a clean towel. Clean the terminals with a pencil eraser. Ensure the unit is receiving at least 120V in supply voltage and is fully grounded.
Examine all wire connections and look for loose connections. Tighten if necessary. Clean the inlet filter screen and examine shower heads, house filters and faucet aerators throughout the home. Clean if necessary to remove dirt or debris.
Reconnect the power and turn the Aquastar back on.
Contact an authorized service technician if the above steps do not resolve the issue.
