My Haier XQG50-20HF Won't Spin
Haier is a Chinese home appliance manufacturer based in the city of Qingdao, and the XQG50-20HF is part of the company's all-in-one washing machine and dryer range. If you experience problems with your Haier washer's spin, you can run through a few simple troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the problem. These troubleshooting tips can save you from having to call for repairs over simple problems. This task will take approximately 15 minutes.
Check the basics first. Make sure the washing machine is switched on, the door firmly closed and a cycle selected. The washer will not spin or start a cycle unless these criteria are met.
Check that the washer is connected to the power supply and that the plug is firmly inserted into the outlet. Make sure the outlet is switched on, if necessary. Vibration from washing and drying can sometimes work the power cable loose.
Check your home's fuses or breakers. If one or more fuse or breaker has been tripped, the washing machine may start up but not spin. Most washing machines use two fuses.
Examine the water hoses at the back of the washing machine. Make sure the hoses are not kinked and the taps are open to allow water into the washer. The machine will be unable to start a cycle if it cannot access hot and cold water. The drain hose must be less than 4 feet (1.2 meters) above the floor in order for water to exit the machine properly.
Contact Haier and arrange for your washing machine to be serviced. You may be entitled to free repairs if your washer is within its warranty period. Call 1-877-337- 3639 in the United States for your nearest authorized service center.
