How to Connect a Frigidaire Portable Dishwasher

Frigidaire makes a line of laundry and kitchen appliances, including portable dishwashers that connect to your sink faucet for cleaning a load of plates, pots and pans. When finished, the appliance disconnects quickly and may be moved on the built-in casters to a storage pantry, closet or out-of-the-way corner. The dishwasher comes with an adapter that enables the water supply hose on the appliance to connect with your sink faucet.

  1. Push the dishwasher on its coasters over to the sink with the back of the appliance turned toward the sink.

  2. Run the tap water until it is hot.

  3. Pull out the retractable water hose from the back of the dishwasher and push down on the metal collar at the end. Insert the smooth end of the faucet adapter into the collar until it clicks, then release the collar.

  4. Screw the adapter onto the sink faucet.

  5. Turn on the hot water slowly until the valve is fully open.

  6. Plug in the power cord. You are ready to wash dishes.

Warning

  • The lower of the two hoses on the faucet coupler is used for draining water. Leave the sink stopper open and clear so the dishwasher can drain properly and not flood your kitchen.
