How to Polish Your Badges

If your profession requires that you wear a badge, eventually the badge will begin to lose its luster.

Always polish your badge with soft materials.Always polish your badge with soft materials.
Preserving the look of your badge is easy enough, although a duller badge could be considered a symbol of your time spent on the job. However, if you prefer to keep a shiny looking badge, clean and polish it regularly using a mild soap and a special cleaning solution.

Wash your badges with a mild soap and water. Rinse well.

Dry your badge using a clean, soft cloth.

Use a cleaning solution like those jewelers use to polish rings and other jewelry if additional cleaning and polishing is required.

Things You Will Need

  • Mild soap
  • Water
  • Mild jeweler's cleaning solution (optional)

Tip

  • Refrain from scrubbing your badges with abrasive polishes and cleaners, detergents and solvents as these will damage the surface of your badges.
