How to Install Water Tubing in an LG Refrigerator

Pull the refrigerator away from the wall and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Place the compression nut onto the end of the copper tubing, followed by the ferrule.

Insert the end of the copper tubing into the water supply valve as far as it will go.

Hold the line in place and tighten the compression nut using an adjustable wrench to secure the lines to the valve.

Place the end of the line in a bucket and turn on the water supply valve. Allow approximately one quart of water to flow through the line to flush the line and then turn off the valve.

Remove the plastic cap over the end of the refrigerator's water supply line.

Place the compression nut onto the other end of the copper tubing, followed by the ferrule.

Insert the end of the copper tubing into the refrigerator's water supply line as far as it will go.

Hold the line in place and tighten the compression nut using an adjustable wrench to secure the lines together.

Turn the water supply valve counterclockwise and inspect the line for leaks. Tighten as needed.

Plug the refrigerator into the wall outlet and then push the refrigerator against the wall.

Open the freezer door and turn the ice maker's power button to the "On" position.
