How to Remove Chocolate Stains From Leather
When chocolate touches a surface, it melts almost immediately, leaving behind a stain. Leather that has been stained with chocolate must be treated in a special way. The most important thing is to remove as much chocolate as possible before applying a stain remover.
Things You Will Need
- Blunt knife
- Ice cubes
- Plastic bag
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp. liquid dish soap
- Sponge
- Cloth
-
Fill a plastic bag with a few ice cubes.
-
Put the bag on top of the chocolate. This hardens the chocolate, which will make it easier to remove.
-
Take the blade of a blunt knife and scrape off as much chocolate as possible. Be careful not to slice into the leather.
-
Pour 1 tsp. liquid dish soap into 1 cup water. Dip a sponge into the mixture and dab at the stain until it comes off.
-
Rinse off the soap with water, and dry the area with a cloth.
