If your white spandex bra has become dingy in color, whiten it properly to avoid damaging the material.

Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of lukewarm water. Add 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide, then submerge the bra in the water. Let it soak for 30 minutes.

Remove the bra from the water and squeeze it gently to remove the excess water. Fasten any hooks on the bra, place it in a mesh garment bag and wash it in the washing machine in warm water on the gentle cycle using a mild laundry detergent. Lay the spandex bra flat to dry.

Soak the bra in oxygen bleach if has not whitened to your satisfaction. Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1 to 3 ounces of oxygen bleach and soak the bra in the solution for six hours. Remove the bra and wash it on the gentle cycle in the washing machine. Add oxygen bleach to the washer prior to washing.
