After they crawl over the dryer sheet, they become lethargic and slowly die. Although studies have yet to be conducted specifically on cockroaches, anecdotal evidence suggests that it works well on these insects as well.

  1. Lay dryer sheets along baseboards, in corners, behind appliances or anywhere else you notice cockroach activity.

  2. Monitor the sheets periodically. Pick up and discard any dead or dying cockroaches that you find.

  3. Replace the dryer sheets as soon as you stop smelling the linalool.

  4. Discourage further infestation. Keep all food in closed plastic containers. Clean up crumbs and unused dog food immediately and keep the trash can sealed. Also caulk and seal any cracks and holes around your doors, baseboards, windows and light fixtures.

  • But to certain insects, it is toxic.
