How to Wash IKEA Curtains
Curtains are often a harbor for dust, dirt and allergens. Washing your curtains will remove these irritant and help your home look clean and fresh. IKEA is a home furnishing company with roots in Sweden, but has brick and mortar stores across the United States.
IKEA sells a variety of curtain styles to compliment your home décor. All of IKEA’s curtains are machine-washable and need to be hung to dry. Depending on the fabric style the curtains can be washed on cold, warm or hot temperatures.
Tip
Wash the following styles on the cold setting: BIRGIT, DAGNY, GILDA, SANEL, SARITA and VILMIE. Wash the following styles on the warm setting: AINA, FELICIA, ALVINE, GRÖNSKA, HEDDA, HENNY, STOCKHOLM, KAJSA, LENDA, LILL, OFELIA, RENATE, RITVA, VIVAN and WILMA. Wash the following styles on the hot setting: MATILDA, MERETE and BOMULL.

Place the curtains in your washing machine with a mild detergent. Set the temperature to the setting indicated on the care label. See tips for a listing of current IKEA styles and recommended wash temperatures. Pour detergent into the washing machine. Do not use bleach on any of the IKEA curtains.

Hang the curtains to dry. Do not tumble dry.

Iron on a low to medium setting.

Place the curtains back onto the rod. Clean your curtains once a month to keep them looking new.
