How to Clean a Drink Dispenser
Drink dispensers are useful when having a picnic or throwing a party, as you are able to store a pitcher of your drink of choice in this dispenser, then allow your guests to fill their cups through the dispenser spigot without risk of spills or leaking.
Just like any other type of drink container, you need to properly clean the unit after each use to get rid of drink residue and prevent bacteria growth.
Things You Will Need
- Water
- Vinegar
- Dish soap
- Dish cloth
-
Discard any leftover beverage, and rinse out the drink dispenser with hot water.
-
Run the hot water out of the container through the spigot.
-
Fill the container with 1 quart hot water, 1 tsp. dish soap and 2 tsp. white vinegar to disinfect.
-
Hold your hand over the spigot and gently shake the container so the cleaner hits all sides of the drink dispenser.
-
Drain the cleaner through the spigot, and wipe the inside and outside of the container with a wet dish cloth.
-
Rinse the dispenser and spigot with hot water and allow to air dry.
