Open the refrigerator door and locate the gasket that is installed around the perimeter of the door.

Lift up the flange part of the gasket starting at the outside corner and loosen the screws that secure the metal retaining strip. Use the proper size nut driver for the screws used in your brand and model of refrigerator. Do not remove the screws, just loosen them. Work your way around the entire gasket and loosen the screws holding on the retaining strip.

Grasp the top of the door with one hand and the bottom with the other hand. Twist the door firmly. Close the door and check it for a proper fit. It may require twisting the door several times and checking it after each time before it is correct.

Tighten the screws on the retaining strip using the nut driver. Start at the outside corner and work your way around the door to ensure that you tighten every screw.
