Homemade No-Residue Floor Cleaner
Ideally, housekeeping should be quick, easy and affordable. You can save money by making homemade cleaners out of household ingredients like vinegar. Vinegar costs only a few dollars for a large bottle and is used in many cleaning solution recipes.

It makes an effective floor cleaner when mixed with water, doesn't leave a residue and is a disinfectant.
-
Mix equal parts of vinegar and hot water in a bucket.
-
Add 15 drops of an essential oil to the bucket. Try tea tree oil or lemon oil.
-
Dip your mop into the bucket and wring it out.
-
Mop the floors as usual and let it air-dry.
Tip
You can reduce the amount of vinegar used to 1 cup per bucket of water if desired. Essential oils are optional but will add to the cleansing power. The vinegar smell dissipatesas the vinegar evaporates.
