Maytag Electric Range F7 Error Code
If your Maytag range displays the "F7" error code, it means that the programmed fault error 7 occurred with the range. Luckily the error is easily fixed in most cases and requires no new parts.
Identification
Once the error appears on the range it is usually followed by seven loud beeps to represent the number. Clear the error by holding a button down for a minute. The LCD will flash and the code will disappear.
Effects
The most common cause of the "F7" error is a stuck button on the LCD panel. Look around the range control panel and examine to see if any buttons appear pushed in, stuck or out of place.
Prevention/Solution
Take a damp rag and light wipe around the buttons to clear out any grease, food particles or sticky substance that may have built up around the button. Attempt to use your range and see if the error appears again.
Considerations
If the error continues to appear, there could be permanent damage to your electronic range control. Contact your Maytag dealer for warranty information and replacement parts.
