How to Clean Out a Bissell Carpet Cleaner
Bissell carpet cleaners are specifically designed to lift out ground-in dirt and to clean the surface of the carpet as well. Bissell carpet cleaners feature a 1-gallon tank capacity, heated cleaning formula and rotating brushes, as well a 6.5-amp motor.
Once the Bissell carpet cleaner has been used to clean carpets and other surfaces, it is important to properly clean out the unit to maintain the cleaner and keep it working properly. Cleaning out a Bissell carpet cleaner only takes a few steps.
Things You Will Need
- Power supply
- Clean cloths
Turn off the carpet cleaner and unplug it from the power supply. Lift out the water tank from the main base and open it by rotating the handle forward. Lift off the lid and empty the tank. Rinse out the tank and wipe it clean. Close the lid and return the tank to the carpet cleaner.
Remove the lint screen on the left side of the tank lid and rinse the lint screen thoroughly. Reattach the lint screen to the tank lid.
Grasp the handle at the nozzle handle and pull forward to remove the nozzle. Rinse the nozzle under clean water and replace it by lining up the slots on the base with the hooks on the nozzle. Attach the nozzle to the base and click into place.
Remove any hair, debris or fibers caught in the brushes.
Wipe down the exterior of the carpet cleaner with a clean, damp cloth. Allow the carpet cleaner time to dry thoroughly before use.
