How to Open Small Combination Lock Boxes
Lock boxes may be useful for realtors who wish to allow home buyers access to a house when they are not there. Homeowners can also make use of lock boxes to let servicemen or house keepers in while they are at work or on vacation.
These small combination lock boxes let the user store the key to the house inside the box and then a combination is set. Anyone with the combination can open the box and obtain the key, which may then be used to enter the house.
-
Turn the combination dial to the right until the arrow points to the first digit of the combination.
-
Turn the dial to the left, pass the first digit and stop when the arrow hits the second number. Rotate the dial back to the right, stopping the arrow on the final number.
-
Press down on the latch or button located above the combination dial. If the code was entered correctly, the latch depresses fully. If it does not depress, the code was incorrect. Spin the dial several times to reset it, then enter the combination again.
-
Push down on the bottom of the lid to release it, then lift the lid off of the lock box.
