What Are Fiberglass Drapes?
Fiberglass drapes are a type of vintage drape, used in the mid 20th Century, made of a fiberglass material for decorating your windows in your home. It can still be found in some homes nowadays.
Care
Wear rubber gloves when hand-washing the drapes. Using a washing machine is not recommended because glass fibers can be left in the washing machine. Hang to dry, without folding over, on a clothes line.
Warning
The fiberglass curtains must have a tag on them by law stating they will cause skin irritation.
Coloring
You can tint your fiberglass drapes to match your home color scheme. Use acrylic binder resins. They can not be dry cleaned.
