How to Clean a GE Profile Dishwasher with White Vinegar
The GE Profile dishwasher will begin to accumulate grease and grime on the interior walls with prolonged use. White vinegar is a mild acid that's safe to use on the coated walls inside the GE Profile. Vinegar dissolves grease and helps eliminate odors so your dishes come out smelling fresher after a cycle. For extra cleaning power, add a cup of baking soda to the GE Profile. Baking soda reacts with vinegar to produce carbon dioxide. The resulting scrubbing action will help clean the interior of your GE Profile dishwasher .
Step 1
Empty the dishwasher of all dishes, utensils, cookware and glasses.
Step 2
Pour one cup of white vinegar into a dishwasher-safe cup. Place the cup on the top rack of the GE Profile.
Step 3
Pour one cup of baking soda into the bottom of the dishwasher, if desired. This increases the cleaning power of the vinegar and helps freshen the appliance.
Step 4
Close the GE Profile door and run the appliance through the heavy-duty cycle. When the cycle is completed, the dishwasher can be loaded with dirty dishes.
