How to Troubleshoot a Beeping F7 on a Magic Chef Oven
Made by the Whirlpool Corporation, Magic Chef ovens are usually part of an electric or gas range. If you are trying to cook with your oven when the F7 code appears on your screen and the unit begins to beep, you will not be able to use the oven until you address this problem. In some instances, you will be able to deal with the problem without needing to have any expertise on the inner workings of the appliance.
Step 1
Push the “Off/Cancel” button to clear the code from the display. This should clear the code, but it might not stop the beeping.
Step 2
Disconnect the power cord from the outlet for 60 seconds to stop the beeping and reset the appliance. Reconnect the power cord.
Step 3
Press each button on the keypad to determine if a button is stuck, if the oven continues to beep and display F7.
Step 4
Push “Off/Cancel” again to try to stop the beeping. If it stops, the cause of the problem was a stuck button.
Step 5
Contact Sears or an appliance repair shop if the beeping will not stop. The cause is likely an internal component that may need to be replaced.
