Measure the height and width of the each area to receive a panel. Measure the refrigerator and freezer doors separately. Carefully note any cut-out areas for handles.
Outline each area to be cut out on the veneer panels using a straight edge. The straight edge will allow you to create straight lines.
Cut out each section of veneer panel with a hand saw. Be sure to lay out the sections on a flat surface in the order that they are to be applied.
Clean the areas of the refrigerator where the veneer panels are to be installed. Apply degreaser to the surface with a clean rag and scrub the surface. Be sure to remove any build-ups of dust or dirt from the surface.
Apply self-adhesive compound to the front of the refrigerator and the back side of the panel. Spread compound over both surfaces with a 2-inch foam brush. Allow adhesive to set for five minutes and press panel onto the refrigerator.
Smooth panel onto the refrigerator in a circular motion with your hand. Begin in the center of each applied section and work towards the outer edges of the panels.
