How to Remove Graber Pleated Shades
Graber pleated shades come in a variety of styles and colors. In addition to providing a decorative addition to your windows, they can serve several different functions. They provide privacy, block out light and protect against drafts. They can also be removed without taking down the brackets when you need to clean or replace them.
-
Remove the shades from the hold-down brackets located at the bottom of the window by sliding one end of the shade off of the bracket. Slide the other end off of its bracket to fully release the shade.
-
Wipe the shade with the dry towel to remove any dust or cobwebs from the surface. Pull the shade cord to completely fold the shade up.
-
Hold the folded shade firmly in one hand and insert the flat head screwdriver into one of the brackets holding the shade. Press the screwdriver firmly into the bracket to release the latch holding the shade into place. Tilt the shade out of the bracket and remove it.
