How to Troubleshoot a Gulf Coast Spa
The Gulf Coast Spa Company made a variety of hot tubs, also called spas, for residential and commercial purposes until 2009, when the company went out of business. However, technical support is still available for spa owners, as the Gulf Coast Company outsourced support of their products to the SpaShopper Company. Contacting SpaShopper may not be necessary, however, if users perform some basic troubleshooting efforts prior to calling for technical assistance if problems occur with the Gulf Coast spa.
Ensure that the Gulf Coast spa is properly connected to a working power supply if the spa does not turn on or function. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.
Turn the thermostat to a higher temperature if the water is not heating properly or does not feel hot enough. Ensure that all hot water valves are open.
Rotate the jets in a counterclockwise direction if the pressure from the jets is weak or the jets are not working.
Press the "On/Off" button on the top control to turn off the spa if the water is not heating properly or there is reduced water pressure and the above steps do not resolve the problem. Lift off the filtration canister cover and unscrew the filters. Rinse the filters in clean, cold water and screw back in to the filter housing. Close the filtration canister cover. Press the "On/Off" button to turn the spa back on.
