Emerson Wine Cooler Instructions

Keith Allen

While wine can be served at almost any room temperature, the flavor is best if the wine is cooled. According to the instructions that accompany the Emerson Wine Cooler, red wine should be served between 54 and 64 degrees Fahrenheit and white wine should be served at 46 to 54 degrees. These temperature ranges are cooler than normal room temperature and warmer than the normal temperatures found in a refrigerator. It is for these reasons that a wine cooler is a good investment for connoisseurs who desire their wine served at an ideal temperature.

Emerson Wine Cooler Installations

Emerson Wine Coolers hold eight bottles of wine in a climate-controlled area. Temperatures are controllable between 44 and 66 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows the Emerson Wine Cooler to keep wine at an ideal temperature for both red and white wines.

Due to limitations of the cooler capacity, the wine cooler will only be able to achieve these temperatures if the ambient room temperature does not exceed 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

There are other instructions included in the manual of the Emerson Wine Cooler.

The cooler should be placed on a level surface with at least five inches of clearance on each side. The cooler should always be placed in an open space. The Emerson Wine Cooler should not be placed in a recessed space or any other built-in space.

The wine cooler should operate in a dry area out of direct sunlight. The unit should not be placed adjacent to other small appliances that generate heat. This includes stoves, microwave ovens, dishwashers or toaster ovens.

The Emerson Wine Cooler uses a self-evaporative system to handle moisture removed from the interior of the unit. In certain high-humidity situations, a puddle of water may form under the wine cooler. If the problem persists, the wine cooler should be moved to an area with less ambient humidity.

Wine Cooler Instructions

There are three controls on the Emerson Wine Cooler. One button turns the interior light of the wine cooler on or off. The other controls raise or lower the temperature setting for the wine cooler in one-degree increments.

A digital readout displays the interior temperature of the wine cooler in degrees Fahrenheit.

Cleaning the Wine Cooler

Unplug the Emerson Wine Cooler and remove the contents before cleaning the interior. Emerson suggests cleaning the interior with a mixture of baking soda and warm water. The wine cooler should be completely dried before it is plugged in and restarted.
