How to Change a Water Filter on a Samsung Refrigerator

You can find the water filter in a Samsung refrigerator in the back-right corner at the top of the refrigerator.

  1. Turn the water shut-off valve to the left. You can find the shut-off valve behind the refrigerator, near the water line.

  2. Pull out on the shelf below the water filter to remove it.

  3. Turn the filter clockwise until it no longer turns.

  4. Pull downward to remove the filter.

  5. Place the new filter and turn it counterclockwise to tighten it. Replace the tray.

  6. Turn the water shut-off valve to the right to turn the water back on.

The Drip Cap

  • Many Samsung refrigerator models feature a water filter.
  • The filtered water is dispersed from the water dispenser.
  • Turn the water shut-off valve to the right to turn the water back on.
