Operating Instructions for a Warm Steam Vaporizer
A warm steam vaporizer is similar to a humidifier in that it is a small appliance that releases moisture into the air. A warm steam vaporizer uses electricity to heat cool water, producing steam that can alleviate symptoms associated with allergies, asthma or other respiratory discomforts.
Patients can also add vaporizing medicines to most warm steam vaporizers, which allows them to inhale the medicine with the steam.
Place the vaporizer on a flat surface out of the reach of children. The spot should be at least 4 feet from the bed or other furniture.
Remove the steam head by twisting it counterclockwise and lifting it out of the unit. Fill the water container underneath the steam head to the fill line.
Replace the steam head by pushing it back into the housing and turning it clockwise. If the steam head will not go back into position, you have overfilled the unit. Pour out some of the water until it is no higher than the fill line, then replace the steam head.
Pour vaporizing liquids into the well on top of the steam head, according to the package directions. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet. It will produce steam in 3 to 10 minutes.
