How to Adjust a Honeywell CT3200 Thermostat

Athena Hessong

The Honeywell CT3200 thermostat allows you to set the temperature in your home. A thermometer detects the current temperature and turns the air conditioner or heater on or off to adjust to the programmed temperature. This can help you to save money on your heating and cooling bills by automatically turning down the air conditioner or heater at night or while you are at work. This will keep you from paying to heat or cool your home when you do not need to. These instructions will guide you to adjusting the program settings on your Honeywell CT3200 thermostat.

  1. Press the "Set Clock/Day" button.

  2. Press the "Ahead" button and hold it down until you see the correct time setting on your thermostat.

  3. Press "Set Clock/Day" button once more.

  4. Press either the "Ahead" or "Back" button until you see the correct day displayed.

  5. Press the "Run Program" button to lock in your clock and day settings.

  6. Turn the thermostat to air conditioning (cool).

  7. Press the "Set Schedule" button.

  8. Adjust the time you typically wake up on weekdays by pressing either the "Ahead" or "Back" buttons until the proper time is shown. Press the "Warmer" or "Cooler" button until the temperature you want your home to be when you awake is displayed. Press "Set Schedule" to lock in your settings for the "Wake" time of the day.

  9. Repeat Step 8 for the remaining times for both weekdays and the weekend: "Leave" (temperature while you are at work), "Return" (temperature when you come home) and "Sleep."

  10. Repeat steps 7 through 9 with the heat switched on to program the thermostat for the winter heat.
