How to Put the Oven Door Back on a Kenmore Range
To deep-clean your oven, you may want to remove the door. Removing the door is the easy part; putting it back on can be a bit tricky because the hinges are spring-loaded and very tight. Here's how to put the door back on a Kenmore Range oven.
-
Pull hinges up to open them. You may need something such as a wooden spoon to give you some leverage.
-
Place nails in holes, one on each hinge. When the hinge is open about halfway, you should see the hole. This will hold the hinge open.
-
Place the door 4 to 5 inches from the closed position, making sure the hinges engage the two pins in the oven.
-
Slowly open the oven door, making sure the hinges are engaged.
-
Remove the nails.
