How to Clean Your Oven With Baking Soda

Baking soda is an amazing substance with multiple home uses including cleaning the oven.

Using baking soda beats scrubbing your oven with commercial cleaners in that it is non-toxic, inexpensive, and very easy to use!.

Open the oven and inspect the areas that need cleaning. Sprinkle these areas with tap water.

Spread one to two layers of baking soda over the areas you sprinkled with water. Try starting with one layer and work from there.

Rub off baking soda with a sponge.

Work on any "tough spots" that need extra attention by scrubbing them gently with steel wool pads. Your oven should now look very clean!

Things You Will Need

  • Box of baking soda (small or large, any brand will do)
  • Sponge
  • 1 or 2 steel wool pads
  • Tap water

  • Baking soda prices range from about $0.99 to $3 depending on the size.
