How to Clean the Glass Window on a Frigidaire Self-Cleaning Oven
A Frigidaire self-cleaning oven is virtually effortless to clean, but sometimes the self-cleaning cycle doesn’t get the all the grime off of the window glass. Baked-on food, carbon from the oven and other grime can accumulate on the glass, making it cloudy and dirty.
Things You Will Need
- White vinegar
- Spray bottle
- Soft cloths
- Ammonia
- Non-abrasive scrubber
If the self-cleaning cycle wasn’t enough to clean the glass window, put in a bit more effort to get it clean.
-
Let the oven cool before cleaning the glass.
-
Combine equal parts warm water and white vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray the vinegar cleaner onto the glass.
-
Scrub the glass with a clean, soft cloth. Rinse with a soft cloth dampened with warm water, and dry with another soft cloth.
-
Pour undiluted ammonia into a clean spray bottle if the oven glass is still dirty. Spray the ammonia onto the glass and wait five minutes. Scrub the glass with a non-abrasive scrubber. Rinse with a soft cloth and clean water, then dry thoroughly.
Tip
Clean the outside of the glass with glass cleaner, a vinegar solution or ammonia.
Warning
Open windows and turn on the exhaust fan to ventilate the area while using ammonia. Wear rubber gloves to protect your skin from irritation.
