How do I Replace a Hunter Douglas Thermostat Battery?
A Hunter Douglas thermostat is an electronic device that regulates the temperature of a home, office or business. The user programs or sets the thermostat to the desired temperature. The thermostat controls the air conditioner and heater by alerting the devices when to turn on or off based on the desired temperature. A Hunter Douglas thermostat is powered by two AA batteries. When the thermostat displays a low battery icon, the batteries can be easily replaced.
Step 1
Lift the front cover of the thermostat upward.
Step 2
Push the battery release latch inward and upward to remove the battery housing unit cover. Press the battery release lever downward. The batteries will pop out of the thermostat.
Step 3
Insert two AA 1.5-volt batteries. Follow the +/- directions on the battery housing unit for proper placement.
Step 4
Slide the battery housing unit cover over the batteries and back into position. Lower the front cover of the thermostat unit.
