How to Hang Up a 2 Sided Poster
A two-sided or double-sided poster is a tricky piece of artwork because you have to hang it so that both sides can be seen. Ideally, a double-sided poster could be hung on a glass pane so that both sides could be seen. Hang your double-sided poster in a clear frame in the front window of your business or from the ceiling as a display divider.
Hanging the Poster in a Window
-
Put the poster in the double-sided clear frame. Put a screw hook loop 4 inches in from each side of the frame if it doesn't already have screw hook loops attached.
-
Have someone hold the frame up to the window where you want it to hang. Use the level and pencil to draw two marks above the window that correspond to the distance between the 2 screw hook loops on the frame.
-
Hammer two nails in the wall at the marks you made above the window.
-
Have someone hold the frame up to the window again, exactly where you want it to hang. Measure from the nail to the screw hook loops on the frame and cut two pieces of picture hanging wire to that length. Cut a little extra so you can wind the ends around the nails and loops.
-
Attach each piece of wire to the nails. Have someone hold the frame up again. Wind the wire around the screw hook loops on the frame.
Hanging the Poster as a Display Divider
-
Decide where you want the poster to hang as a display divider.
-
Screw in the ceiling hook in the ceiling where you want the frame to hang.
-
Measure the picture framing wire so you have enough that the frame hangs lower as a display divider.
-
Find the middle of the wire and wrap it around the ceiling hook. Attach the other wire ends to the screw hook loops on the frame. If there aren't screw hook loops on the frame, screw two in to the top edge of the frame.
