How to Set Up a New Atmos Energy Account

Go to Atmos Energy’s website.

Click the “Home Service” tab at the top of the page.

Click “Start Residential Service” from the options on the right side of the page.

Hit “Sign Up” when the “Start Residential Service” page opens.

Select “Residential,” “Builder” or “Commercial” under “Choose Your Service Type.”

Enter your address and zip code in the appropriate boxes and click “Continue.”

Enter your first and last name as well as your email address and hit “Continue.” Your email is required for order status updates.

Enter the rest of your personal information and click “Continue.” This information includes your date of birth, social security number, current employer, contact phone numbers and billing address.

Schedule an order for activation with Atmos Energy. The company contacts you after running a credit check to determine if a deposit is required. A technician will come to your home to read your meter and enters the information in Atmos Energy’s main system.
