If rust stains were caused by furniture, invest in furniture protective pads that cover the bottom of the legs of furniture. Avoid causing future stains on kitchen surfaces by not placing metal lids of cans on surfaces.


If you choose a product that contains bleach, make sure you remove it after a few minutes. If left on too long, it can form spots on the tile.

  1. Clean the stained area with plain water and a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly.

  6. Purchase scouring sticks made of pumice which is volcanic rock. Wet the stick and rub over the stain on the ceramic tile. This cleaning product will not harm the finish.
