How to Reset a Honeywell Chronotherm III

Leonardo R. Grabkowski

The Honeywell Chronotherm III allows you to program the temperature for specific days and specific times. If you have custom programmed your Honeywell to fit your schedule, but your schedule has changed, consider resetting the programmed options and adapting them to your new schedule.

You cannot globally reset the functions, so you will need to reset each setting manually.

  1. Open your Honeywell Chronotherm III's cover panel to view the programming buttons.

  2. Push the "Day" button repeatedly to reset the programming to a certain day. If you want to reset the programming for each day, simply pick one to start with.

  3. Push and hold the appropriate "Period" key for three seconds. For example, if you wanted to reset the "Leave" programmed time or the "Return" programmed time, push and hold the "Leave" or "Return" button. The temperature will clear from the display screen when the period is reset.

  4. Repeat the process for each day that you want to reset the program. When you are finished, push "Run Program" to run the system manually. You can also begin setting your new program schedule, if desired.
